Workout Of the Day

Out of all CrossFit gyms in the greater Charlotte area, CrossFit ATP is the only gym to have 6 former/current CrossFit gym owners (from Charlotte) as members. What does this say about our gym? We have created a community that people who currently run a CrossFit gym or used to own a CrossFit gym have chosen to be part of. That not just because of our coaches, who are amazing, but it is also because we are one of the most welcoming gyms I've ever seen. When our people see a new face, they stop their conversations with their friends and invite the new person into the conversation, our members genuinely want to integrate new people into our community. Think about how you would want to be made to feel when you walk into a room not know anyone in a room full of people who are friends... Stand in the corner and no one talks to them is what happens in 99% of CrossFit gyms, but not ours! That is not because our coaches are badasses, it is because our members love our community and want others to add to our community. so think about that the next time you see a new person, they might be a former gym owner with 10-16 years of CrossFit experience or they might be new to fitness as a whole, but either way we show them that they belong.

CrossFit ATP is NOT "Wade's gym"... its YOUR gym, its OUR gym, sure Wade scrubs the toilets and wipes down the dirty sinks, straightens up equipment so that its easy to find, and cleans up chalk off the floor, but without every one of you, CrossFit ATP would not be the community we all know and love. You each make CrossFit ATP the gym it is, a community.

If you ever have thoughts, ideas or suggestions, tell me! It helps me and the gym grow! Tell me what you WANT to do, constructively help show us where to direct the gyms energy. Our gym is here for you, and all our members, and I have and will do everything in my power to help each and every person meet their goals and become the athlete that they dream to be, but we do it together.

*an optional challenge is to perform this at body weight, no one will ask you what your weight is, or if you did the workout using body weight, this is just an optional change for those that want to try and take it on.
